How does a flying club work?
A flying club spreads fixed aircraft ownership costs across its members. Members pay an initiation fee and monthly dues, then rent the aircraft at club rates instead of a traditional flight-school retail rate.
Club provides the aircraft
Countrywide Flyers provides aircraft access, scheduling, insurance requirements, maintenance and club operating rules.
Instructor remains independent
I am an independent CFI and club member. I am not employed by Countrywide Flyers. Instruction is billed directly to me; aircraft rental is billed separately by the club.

A student training through a flying club takes the same FAA practical test to the same standards as a student at a traditional flight school. The difference is how the airplane and instruction are organized and billed.
