How do I get my pilot's license in Orlando?
Start with a discovery flight at Orlando-Apopka Airport, then join Countrywide Flyers and begin regular lessons. The program includes flight lessons, ground instruction, the FAA knowledge test and a practical test.
Can I learn to fly with no experience?
Yes. Most student pilots begin with no prior flying experience.
What is a discovery flight?
An introductory lesson where you take the controls with a CFI beside you before deciding whether to continue into formal training.
How much does a Private Pilot Certificate cost?
The current planning range on the site is roughly $13,000–$24,000+, depending on aircraft, training frequency, ground instruction and how many hours are required to reach proficiency.
How much are flight lessons per hour?
Instruction is $75/hr for flight and $75/hr for ground. Aircraft are separate: $165/hr wet for the Skyhawk and $175/hr wet for the Cherokee.
Why are aircraft and instruction billed separately?
Instruction is billed directly by the independent instructor; aircraft rental is billed by Countrywide Flyers. The separation makes the individual costs visible.
Can I finance flight training?
Yes. The financing page lists several aviation lending and scholarship options. Loan products and terms should always be verified directly with the provider.
Do I have to join the flying club?
Beyond a discovery flight, club membership is required to use the Countrywide Flyers aircraft for training.
How long does it take?
The regulatory minimum for a Part 61 Private Pilot Certificate is 40 flight hours. The current site uses a broader 55–80-hour national-average planning range; your total depends on training frequency, progress, weather and scheduling continuity.
